Now that everyone has had a few days to dive into those digital delights, we figured it's time to focus on what's next, and in this case, that's the Deadlands: Rise of the Black Circle Issues 1-2 campaign launching on July 26th!
If you thought issue one was action-packed, you ain't seen nothing yet! Issue two picks up right where we left off in issue 1, as our heroes must face ever-growing odds against them from the undead and the magic of La Bruja! It's an all-out battle through the streets of Nacogdoches featuring Bad Luck Betty, Velvet van Helter, Lacy O'Malley, and Ronan Lynch! Just wait until you meet the GLOM!

When The Wolf Comes is a game of storytelling, heroism, and epic struggle set during a reimagined Norse End of Days - and powered by Robert J. Schwalb’s Shadow of the Demon Lord system.
A complete tabletop role-playing game in one (approx) 250-page, 8.5" x 11" hardcover book, When The Wolf Comes provides everything you need to create and play characters, form warbands in pursuit of fame and plunder, and tell sci-fi sagas with your friends. The book also gives Game Masters all the tools they need to create adventures, a bestiary full of deadly creatures, a detailed history of the Níu Heimar, and extensive advice to help run the game.
Once every generation, there is a Chosen One who will stand between humanity and darkness.
But why is the Chosen One so often a teenager? Why do only children get swept through portals to save the fantastic world on the other side? Whose idea was it to put the fate of the world in the hands of someone without a fully developed prefrontal cortex?
In Never Too Old to Save the World, nineteen authors explore what would happen if the Chosen One were called midlife. What would happen if the Chosen One were:

Originally created by Gordon Derry and Denis Beauvais, Warlock 5 was published by Barry Blair, a Canadian comic book publisher, artist, and writer, known for launching Aircel Comics in the 1980s. A fierce advocate for innovation in the themes, genres, and types of illustrations, Blair helped to bring titles to life that broke the narrative and graphic boundaries at the time — including Warlock 5.
In 2017 we successfully funded the first sequel, The Return, to the original series with your help. And in 2020, with the help of creator and artist Den Beauvais, we successfully retouched, revised, and funded the Omnibus of the original series, with two extra issues that had never been released.
Now we're back with the follow-up to The Return! This picks up right where The Return ended.
This is the first of a three-issue graphic novel - it'll be 20 pages of full-color artwork, and the floppy will only ever be available through Kickstarter and will be limited to a small run of 1000 copies.
Welcome to the world of the Now, an unforgiving place settled by survivors from the dead world of Before. Crooked Folk stalk the dusty Inland, pouncing on travelers too stupid to hide behind a town wall. Leicesterites spread their rite across the lands, sniffing for bleedthroughs full of Before treasure. Bird-Riders race on their ten-foot tall birds towards loot and carnage.

By shotgun, mark and word, they guard that thin veil between the worlds.
You are a new Mob, a wandering gang determined to survive by any means. The Water-Barons rule the muggy rot of the Riverland, and the farms of the Overland are watched by well-armed Coin-Riders. The only place left for you is the Inland, a place of dust and flies, where only the brutal survive.
Why fish? I’ve gotten that question a lot.
It’s as simple as just wanting to draw fish. A few years ago, I realized I wasn’t very good at drawing fish and decided to practice. It turned into a somewhat daily exercise. These drawings are the result.

This coffee table art book will be a 208-page, 9"x7" hardcover with over 100 unique fish designs in black, white, and greyscale.

Outriders YO!
Sorry for a bit of silence on our end; we've been really busy getting ALL these books done and to the printer while ramping up the next ones in line, but today I have the news all of you have been eagerly waiting for...
We have wrapped all three books production-wise, including the add-ons that were still in process, and sent everything to our printer!
Now, we are looking at a slightly later delivery date, with print rewards arriving in September instead of August, as long as things go smooth on the printer and fulfillment end, which we are very hopeful for as we've dealt with both countless times over the years. We will keep you updated if we hit any concerns impacted by supply chain issues etc.
Digital Rewards, however, will be going out through Backerkit TODAY!
That's right, if you selected any tier that included digital copies of Dead Man's Hand or The Cackler, you will get those in your inbox TODAY! Even better, since The Kid and Rise of the Black Circle were stretch goals with everyone getting a copy, I am including direct download links for those below! Make sure you grab them!

Now, let's talk about what's coming up for the rest of this year...
We're excited to tell you that the second issues for both The Kid and Rise of the Black Circle are halfway finished art production-wise. We kept our creative folks rolling right into those issues following the huge success of this campaign. Now, we're pretty confident once you all check out these debut issues linked above, you're going to be eager to dive into the next ones, so we are setting up those campaigns to launch soon.
We're also putting the finishing touches on Deadlands: Raven Deluxe Edition, which we also plan to launch this year. The epic saga of Deadlands' greatest villain will be a must for Deadlands fans!
Last, but by no means least, we have the first Deadlands Anthology, edited by New York Times best-selling author Jonathan Maberry in process. All our contributing authors have submitted their first drafts, and our powerhouse lineup of talent has truly produced a cornucopia of weird west adventures!
And in 2023...
-A whole new era of Deadlands will debut with a full graphic novel! Details to come!
-We begin to roll out the first of other Pinnacle properties in all-new comic series!
This brings us to a closing point which we will welcome feedback from all of you on...
The timing on this campaign got a little away from us, mostly because while our philosophy, in general, is to have each book finished prior to launching a campaign, when we threw in the stretch goals of new comics, we put ourselves a little behind the eightball, which led to this short delay in fulfillment. However, we think that we've more than made up for it with just the sheer magnitude of rewards, and, we think all of you will agree, top-notch books with great writing, art, and production values.
And we are absolutely being ambitious in our slate of titles and want to get these great projects out to all of you. So much so, that we are looking at some overlap of campaigns to fit it all in.
Now, we promise we will never launch a campaign without the previous campaign's books being done and at the printer, digital copies being delivered to backers to prove it. But we would like to be able to move forward on new stuff while books are at the printer.
Keep in mind that we've been doing this a while. Between Outland (publisher) and Visionary (studio), we've produced hundreds of comics over the last 15 years. To keep our ace creators on titles, we want to keep them rolling right into each next issue as well, which means faster release dates for all of you.
And again, Outland has been working with our printer and fulfillment center for years, and they both have excellent track records. So, we know once books are finished, they will get delivered, and trust me, we will do everything needed to ensure those books get delivered. So, we hope our track records as a studio, publisher, and creators will make all of you confident as well.

Shipping Cost Concerns

Hey gang, with the test run on the backerkit, we are getting feedback on the boost in shipping costs relevant to our estimates. So, let me put a few things out there...
First, the estimate was based on the weight and cost for one book, Dead Man's Hand. That was what we had when we started, believe it or not. A LOT of you added Cackler ( a second book), many also added print bundles or playing cards, plus we've now added three comics, single issues, as stretch goals, and three mini-prints as well. Which means the majority of actual orders are going to be 2 to 3 times as high as the estimate.
Second, shipping costs in general due to the pandemic and ongoing supply chain issues has surged, even more since we launched the campaign, especially for a lot of international shipping. Unfortunately, these things are totally out of our control, and trust me, we feel the hit too - we have to have books shipped from printer to distributor, printer to our publishing house, comp copies to creators, so, we feel your pain on costs that have often more than doubled since pre-pandemic rates.
We certainly appreciate everyone's patience and understanding on this, and certainly hope that in the end, you feel the costs were more than justified once you get your big box o'Outrider goodies. We're also willing to work with folks who don't feel they can handle the increased costs, whether it be giving up the freebies, or removing add-ons, or switching to digital for some things. We will do whatever we can to keep all of our customers as satisfied as possible, after all, we're out of business without you wonderful folks, so we're all in this together!
Surveys Test Run and Pre-Orders are LIVE!!

Outriders!!
Great news! We are sending out the initial test run for surveys which will go to a select group of backers at random in order to ensure everything is working right. A couple days after, if all goes well, we will be sending surveys to everyone to complete!
An important question is how each of you would like to be listed on our Official Outrider Thank You page, so please jump on the surveys before next Friday to make sure you're included, so we can finalize the book and get it to print ASAP! I will post another update when the full surveys go out and a reminder before Friday to poke any slackers.
For those of you who missed out on the campaign, or want to add things you missed out on adding before, we now also have our Pre-Order Shop up and LIVE! There you can get Dead Man's Hand, Cackler, The Kid, playing cards and prints!
One thing to make note of so folks don't get confused...
Deadlands: The Nacogdoches Incident is now Deadlands: Rise of the Black Circle. The Nacogdoches Incident is the title for issue 1 of the series.
Also, just so folks know, and we wish we could offer better - shipping anything, anywhere is not cheap these days. We've worked out the best deals we could, but the cost is still up there. Bear with us, and know we will keep looking for better priced options.
